I am sad to hear of his passing as he was a great, if stereotyped, character actor.

On the flip side, I hope this means Don Coscarelli will stop beating the dead horse that is the Phantasm series.

Well, the last entry is supposed to come out in a couple months.  Angus' final role, and is supposed to end the series.
