Title: BADMOVIES YEARBOOK
Post by: Allhallowsday on May 17, 2016, 01:18:57 PM
When did you join?
I saw today in my profile that I had just had my 9th anniversary: Date Registered:    April 10, 2007, 04:51:30 PM

It seems to be graduation time.  Many of us have moved on, but I'm sure there are lots of members here longer than I've been.

I joined in 2007: I stupidly self-deleted after I got into an online argument with Paula of all people. Don't know why I self-deleted and as the son of a feminist, I certainly should never have got into it with a lady.

It says late 2005 on my profile but that was when the forum switched formats, so it's probably longer than that by some years. Maybe one of these days I'll post something useful rather than lurk around and make random comments, but for now I'll just say

I got my membership hiccup sorted out right after Andrew posted this; http://www.badmovies.org/movies/sinbad7th/ (http://www.badmovies.org/movies/sinbad7th/) in April, so, yeah....

My profile says November 30, 2005.  Like Dean, I was on here before the format change so there are years unaccounted for.  I didn't say much for quite some time: I was overawed by the combined knowledge on display.  I learned to be less intimidated - somewhat.

This is one of two or three forums I joined shortly after I first gained internet access (1995 or so).  Still the best!

A whole different life back then. We'd just gotten back from New Zealand, I wasn't married, I had no children, I actually WANTED another Clinton in the White House, and I was still in my twenties. Wow...

Nov 3rd, 2005.    But, I know less about bad movies than most here.  But, I appreciate the humor and points of view here.  :)

My profile says November 30, 2005.

My first post is listed as July 15, 2002.

The reality is either late 1998 or early 1999. So my profile is almost old enough to vote or go to court for its bad decisions.

I always wondered why Universal opted out on using Lugosi's image after they won against Jr.s lawsuit in 1980 of using Bela's image as Dracula and went to a more generic vampire? Odd-being as Lugosi is more popular than ever-his memoriblia outsells Karloff's by a wide margin-and is a big cult figure even among non-horror fans.

LUGOSI's son had a hand in it; stuff then wasn't the same kind of money it'd be now.  These Halloween diecuts are from around 1980, unlicensed, the one looks just like BELA LUGOSI (I think) and the flip of the package has another familiar face, speaking of BORIS

I signed up as hellbilly in 2006 or 2007? Can't really remember. I terminated my account in late 2009 or early 2010 out of personal reasons, and signed up again after a few weeks as claws in February 2010.

I was another here when a program update made us all reregister in November of 2005. The oldest post I could find of mine was from December of 2003, but I think I posted before that. I know I was lurking for a long time before that (like maybe a couple years). I think I managed to tick several people off back when I first started posting, taking things too seriously and not really paying attention to how a post might come across. I still miss some of the people who were around back then; they were an interesting bunch.
