There's a bunch of gnats (or maybe fleas I'm not sure.. do fleas fly?) That have been hanging my computer area. No idea where the hell they came from, just trying to figure out how to get rid of them! GRRRR!!

Most likely there is some old fruit under the desk (sort of missed the garbage and forgotten) or a plant that died.
I can't remember a summer where we've had so few lightning bugs, and so many gnats. (WASPS, too, but we tell them to go back to their side of town, and they usually do.)
Fly paper. Get it close the biggest concentration, and see how many take their 'final landing.'
Know what else is cool in an Ivan the Terrible way, you take a sugary two-liter, pour out half the contents, drop in some raw meat, and sit it outside. Within hours you'll have flies trapped in there. Within days the liquid will be black with bodies, and redolent of death. Of course according to Buddhists you'll have to come back as a chicken in Kentucky to atone for doing that.

They're gnats (fleas don't fly) or mosquitoes. Are you subterranean? Any standing water OR plants around? That's where they're coming from.
My wife filled a fruit jar with apple vinegar and dropped a small piece of fruit in it, then put an inverted paper funnel on top.
Hundreds of fruit flies were drawn in and drowned!
