Back in the day, this is what you got when you said, "Night Train"....

For the uninitiated, it was a brown-bag wine of 19% alcohol content that'd definitely get you where you wanted to go; it helped fuel many a party, trip, or bad-flickfest.
Thus, the title of this film is appropriate....

You get the distinct impression that someone was suckin' on green-bottle joy-juice during filming.
NIGHT TRAIN TO TERROR is a mash-up of three separate films, two incomplete, vivisected and stitched together into a psychotic omnibus movie of three stories, held together by a framing device of a train, a conductor, God, Satan, and a group of musicians / dancers who look like the Eighties version of Kaptain Kool and the Kongs.

CTTOI, a wee drap o' Night Train might be helpful when watching this.
ENJOY!

From what I understand the first movie was unfinished and the second movie is sort of lost (or unfinished) and the 3rd Cataclysm (1980) which I really like. Night Train seemed to have parts in Cataclysm that I had not seen in the full movie, yet it would the movie better. I never understood the reason why the stop motion stuff was cut out in the movie.
FYI, it's showing this Saturday night on TCM at 2 AM.
And I was thinking Thunderbird...

The second movie, GRETA, was completed and is included on the Blu-ray as a bonus. It's actually kind of fun; a lot more coherent than the 30 minute version they cut it down to, but still super-wacky.
And talking about this movie without including this amazing video should be against the rules:

Terrifying!
(P.S. I drank Night Train in college and greatly preferred it to Thunderbird. It tasted more like wine than Thunderbird's synthetic apple juice taste. Wild Irish Rose was another winner).
