A woman in Florida had a license to keep an alligator, but he grew too large. (Alligators over 6' need 2.5 acres of land according to Florida law.) Since she got the alligator before that requirement was in place, she was able to renew her license.
Oh, and she likes to dress him up in sunglasses & a leather jacket. (Sorry, I made a mistake; there's no leather jacket) There's a picture of him in that getup on an ATV. I'm not making this up; it's too ridiculous.
