Richard Hatch of Battlestar Galactica fame (the original and the remake) has passed away at 71. Another piece of my childhood that will always live on in my memories.
His definitive performance was surely on the "Hooker's Holiday" episode of Fantasy Island. Just melts your heart to see true love overcome the 5000 other men Shelley'd had before him.

Sad and terrible news about RICHARD HATCH. Good night RICHARD.
Shoot. Apollo died. It's even on his website. :bluesad:
Too many deaths lately...
:bluesad: R.I.P. I really enjoyed watching him in Battlestar Galactica.
I heard that when they buried him, the gravedigger said, "Down the hatch!"

Ever notice these days everybody is either dying or....getting ready to?
RIP Apollo
I was very bummed to hear of Mr. Hatch's passing. I was a HUGE Galactica fan when I was a kid.
I was lucky enough to meet Richard at a book signing for his first "BSG" novel in the late 1990s. It was a pretty huge Nerd Moment for me to shake "Captain Apollo's" hand and ask him a couple of fanboy questions. He was very cool.
R.I.P. sir.
