Dammit: I lost yet another mentor in my life three weeks ago. :bluesad:
Vincent - like his friend and colleague Jans Rautenbach - was one of the few people who encouraged me in my career and (although it embarrassed the hell out of him) I considered him a mentor. He was the second South African to be awarded the ASC and his most memorable images are to be found in South African films like Katrina, Die Kandidaat and Wild Season.

For bad movie fans, he was also the cinematographer behind The Demon and Space Mutiny.
The last time I saw him, we chatted - as usual - about the films he made: he always made me feel as though I had been part of the crew.
RIP Vincent: sleep well, I love you and many hugs. :bluesad:
:bluesad:
I'm sorry for your loss. I know that's cliche, but I never know what to say in times like these. :(
