Yeah-I goofed! If ya ask me-it should have been titled ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET DRACULA...but of course I'm biased that way.
I always think of this article on some actor I read in Psychotronic. He delivered newspapers for the guy who owned the local theater. he would pay them in movie tickets. He went to dracula, saw Lugosi , and ran out. for th next year everywhere he looked he imagined Dracula. People today have no clue what kind of culture shock the film represented.
When my Mom saw dracula vs the Wolfman she was so scared she threw up. Now kids kill hookers in video games and are like meh

Well-it's like you said in the other post-perhaps she had never seen a horror film before-freaked her out.
Some folks may have been scared of their own dicks back then. Some folks still are.
My mom has a story she's told me a few times about how she was alone one night watching the Jack Palance version of Dracula and it absolutely terrified her to the point where she couldn't bring herself to go outside to use the outhouse the had back then.

Ahhh darn it :( TCM in the UK is terrible...they never do themed events or any of the good stuff the US one does... :bluesad: I mean I have them on Bluray but I like the idea of watching it in tandem with other people...
