I remember seeing a portion of a movie as a kid, I think it was Abbot and Costello. A few scenes involved a Fun House of sorts, I rememebr they entered a room by going down a slide. Any ideas? I would think this would be easy for an A&C fan.

Well, I think that'd be me, as I believe I have seen all the films A&C made together, and the film you may be thinking of is 1956's Dance With Me, Henry, the last film in which both A&C appeared, as it takes place in a theme park owned by A&C called Kiddieland. A warning, while I enjoyed it, it is regarded as one of the weakest entries in the A&C series.
Thanks, I see the movie on YouTube and will check it out.
Not really seeing a funhouse in this movie, any other ideas?
are you positive it was abbott and costello?
Actually no (hence the question mark after Abbott and Costello). Similar era though, and a zany comedy like theirs.
i recall a movie like that, i think it was 2 brothers that were the comedians... let me think on it.
Returning back to Abbot and Costello.
Most of their films are only for fans of Abbott and Costello. Though, here are 4 of their films that (IMHO) are worth watching, even if one is not a fan of Abbott and Costello.
Buck Privates
Hold that Ghost
The Time of their Lives
Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein
I would also add to these four, Abbott and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. While not as "good" as the previous four, it has always had a place in my heart.
1st It was the 1st Abbott and Costello film I ever saw.
2nd It has the great Boris Karloff as the villain.
3rd It has (IMHO) one of the great comedic chase scenes at the end of the film. And . . .
4th For someone who's humor is absurd, there is a classic example in the film, when Costello gets turned into a giant mouse, scaring both man and mice across London, while Abbott remains oblivious to what is going on.
Still looking, and not quite sure it was Abbott and Costello, so open to suggestion.
If not A and C, maybe Olsen and Johnson?

the ritz brothers, that's who i was trying to recall 2 years ago!
Good suggestions, I'll start looking. Zombie, I'm glad we move at the same pace!

There were 3 Ritz Bros., if my memory serves me....
entirely possible, and i'd trust your memory over mine when it comes to movies, RC. you don't have a head filled with recipes and cooking methods that get in the way sometimes. there are times when i can't quite reach the trivia vault...does that make any sense?
Note that, in spite of my reference to A&C, I don't know for sure if they were in it, a different duo, a trio... it could have been a group of individual comedians. I just remember a fun house full of doors, and a woman enters one and goes down a short slide. She may end up in some kind of cart, or mine car. And I sure wish they'd let me change the title of thsi thing from 'fin house' to 'fun hose', I might get more hits.
fun hose would get you more hits around here for sure, lol!
Could have been Hope and Crosby. I ain't seen all of their ROAD pictures.
