I found this AWESOME site that's got a TON of music from a variety of video games. We're talking about everything from eight bit to sixteen bit on up to modern games. Hell, they even got music from PC games.
So, yeah, enjoy!

One of my favorites was from Fatal Fury 2/Special, playing during Terry Bogard's stage on top of a train passing Mt. Rushmore. Freaking fantastic! It sounded a bit better with the characters shouting and attacking each other though.
I love the music from the ELDER SCROLLS series. Lots of nice memories there.
I'd leave my Gameboy on just so I could listen to the music. In short, yes.
Here's a good site: https://www.vgmusic.com/ (https://www.vgmusic.com/)
Used to enjoy this site in high school, tho they seem to focus a bit too much on re-mixes.
Good topic.
Yes, there's some great music in video games, and I have several soundtracks on CD. There are even dueling YouTube channels that play songs from the Fallout series all day long. That one song from Fallout: New Vegas called In the Shadow of the Valley is particularly beautiful, and I don't even usually like its genre.
(Dangit, Indy, aren't you ever going to stop playing Dark Souls 3 and check out one of the Fallout titles?)
That pretty song:

More than regular music if I'm being honest.
Undertale, Dark Souls, Persona, Ace Attorney, and Kingdom Hearts have the best soundtracks in my opinion.
Honestly, most games I lower the volume and play a radio as I'm playing.
There's a few games I've played that utilized licensed music and those games I've kept the volume up. Notably the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series, which is like 10 or more games and the soundtracks of music playing include multiple genres including punk, Metal, funk, Sinatra, etc. Also, the Grand Theft Auto series allows you to drive cars and there's 'radio stations' you can scroll through, of mixed genres, like one station is hip hop, one's "Oldies", one's hard rock/metal, one's 'alternative/punk', etc.
It gives life to the game, and it adds an adrenaline rush.
