finally got around to checking this...it's been on my badmovie watch-list for over 20yrs!
not a massive fan of the first 2 personally, but I totally get why they're held in such high regard by a lot of people.
I was disappointed by part 3 cause although I guessed from its reputation it would be it some kind of 'bad', it wasn't as funny-bad as I thought it would be. it reminded me of a bad Dario Argento film from after he stopped being good. the whole atmosphere is so false. ( - no idea if anyone outside UK is familiar with the ferrero rocher chocolate adverts but it reminded me of that.)
I bailed out after 45 mins, when it still seemed to be on the very first scene. talk about dragging...
thumbs down...in a bad way!

It took me YEARS to sit threw part one-but when I finally did-it was worth it!
And I watched 2. Again-worth it.
Doesn't 3 have the KKK in it?
not sure...if it does then I don't think I got that far? ringing some kind of bell though..mightve been mentioned early on. I felt my brain going numb as I was watching, lol
Yeah, this was a huge disappointment compared to parts 1 and 2. I have the DVD and have seen it at least 3 or 4 times (plus when I originally saw it in the theater). I actually like it slightly better now than the first time I saw it . . . but it is still not worthy to be part of the trilogy,
there was an old Simpsons episode on the other day where bart and millhouse go down into comic book guy's secret basement of rare items and find 'Godfather 3: Good Version'
Personally I don't think it's that bad... sure, the climax in the Opera is way over the top, and Sophia Coppola's part needed an experienced actress. But despite this I find it very entertaining, and sometimes actually interesting, like the subplot regarding the Vatican.
Oh wow! Welcome back, Neville!
Yes, it's been a while. I had some health issues last year, and once I got them solved real life drew my attention.
if Sofia Coppola wasn't cast as the female lead I'm pretty sure this movie would be held in the same regard as the first two Godfather movies

Greetings, Com-padre! Always good to see an 'old timer' again.
Mobb Deep had a guy in their crew named the Godfather part 3 I think he rapped a on a few tracks

I have thought before that is possibly the worst name for a rapper ever. it doesn't make sense as a name. mobb did a track called GOD pt3 on hell on earth, thete were better tracks to name himself after
I hated most of that late 90s mafioso rap, some of it was decent, kool g rap's roots of evil was good.

Nas and foxy brown's The Firm album was horrible.
I think maybe there were a lot of people referring to themselves as the godfather and so forth so he became the Godfather part 3. it kind of makes sense, formally speaking.
Prodigy's book "my infamous life" is amazing. Sofia Coppola doesn't make a cameo but Nicole Kidman sort of does
