I stumbled across this movie a couple of years ago and thought it was one of the most bizarre things I'd ever seen. I watched it again today, and my god, this movie succeeds in making me so uncomfortable words can't describe it. The design of the house is so blocky and creepy, the acting is incredibly inhuman, and the plot is weirdly depressing for such an upbeat movie.
Has anyone else seen it? If so, any thoughts? Any movies that make you feel that sensation of pure god awfulness in your gut?

I found it to be painfully bad, it left me feeling depressed and nihilistic even more so than the thing. But not even in a good way
Yes. We had it in the video rental store where I worked in the 1980s. I remember taking it home and watching it one night. I remember exactly 2 things about it:
* Gerrit Graham
* I hated it
I'm going to have to go against the grain here.
I LOVED this movie. It was weird in all the best ways. Great theme song, wonderful characters, and a movie that stops being horror for about ten minutes so the cast can bond with the alien sort of like ET before becoming horror again.
The ending was especially fun.
Yay, I am not the only one who liked it. :)
I enjoyed it just fine. Wouldn't call it my favorite bad movie by any means, but didn't hate it either.
not a fave, but i liked it too.
You people are sick! SICK! :tongueout:

I knew that already. :twirl:
Not a huge bad movie favorite but it's alright. The movie looks and sounds better than it should on Blu-ray.
of course we are, ronnie, we wouldn't BE here if we were normal, lol!
Why thank you for noticing. :)
I love Terrorvision, ranks right next to Frankenhooker, Reanimator and The Evil Dead II as my favorite horror comedies of all time.
