The Tabanga in From Hell It Came (1957) is a kind of tree. It certainly has all the speed of a tree.
And let's not forget that the Thing is technically a plant.
Jumaiji, the 90's version, had plants which shoot poison darts and plant pods which could eat you.
The Lost World (1960) had a giant Venus flytrap, which nearly ate a character.
The Land Unknown also had a man-eating plant.
I've read that Caveman, with Ringo Starr, had a man (or dinosaur) eating plant, tho I've not seen the movie.

Sure, I suppose not. But I thought it was funny.
One of star trek's worst episodes, the apple, had poison thorn shooting flowers.

This is a classic with a somewhat intelligent basic idea taken from a SF master writer.
Oh, invasion of the body snatchers had killer plants.

They also had spoor shooting plants that turned Spock and crew into love hippies!
KONGA (1961) was about a giant man in a monkey suit-but Micheal Gough fed a lovely buxom girl who spurned his creepy advances to a man-eating plant. (or woman eating-being, well, she was a girl...)
And of course marijuana has killed dozens of young people, in bad movies.

Ah-that don't count.
Actually-yeah-I guess it does.
In REEFER MADNESS the girl goes nuts and jumps out a window.
I've smoked a lot of pot-never felt the urge to jump out a window.

I think that was mentioned earlier-but Donald Pleasance made mutant plant people in MUTATIONS (1974).
I'll have to look that up-I know Joan was in TALES FROM THE CRYPT-but that was with a killer Santa Claus...

aha! thanks RC! i have so many anthologies, it's easy to lose track of the titles.
William Friedkin's nanny horror The Guardian (1990) had a rampaging killer tree.
Poltergeist had a tree try to eat people. The Russian sf movie ''planet bura'' and the America b sf movie 'the angry red planet'' had large alien plants that tried to eat humans.
VOODOO ISLAND (1957) with Boris Karloff also had a man-eating plant.
As did the soft-core porn rip of of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS-
PLEASE DON'T EAT MY MOTHER! (1973)

But the vines raped the girl-and that was pretty evil. I read in an interview later that Raimi had wished he left that scene out.
I guess the WIZARD OF OZ tree doesn't count either-throwing apples is mean- but I don't think it tried to rape Dorothy.
AH! These plants are most certainly BAD- (and a BAD movie too!)
SEEDPEOPLE (1992)

In M. Night shamalamadingdong's movie 'the happening' I hear that plants were releasing a gas that caused most of the human race to commit mass murder and suicide. I saw his movie 'signs' so naturally never watched another one of his again.

Interesting character. (IMHO) He's made one of the best films I have ever seen in "The 6th Sense," and some of the worst in "The Last Airbender." One of the few films I found totally unwatchable. And he is still making films. His next film is Glass in 2019, as he serves as both writer, producer, and director, and even appears in it as the character Jay.

actually,he's made a few truly brilliant movies, the happening is one of them. so is devil, and lady in the water. signs SUCKED,so did the village, but every director/producer has SOME crap on their resume, right?
MANEATERS OF HYDRA (1967) is a pretty lousy Italian dubbed job about a scientist who creates some yeechy man (and woman!) eating plants that like to suck the blood out of sleezy Italian tourists. Cameron Mitchell is in it.

Our local ultra cheap version of 'Shock Theater' used to run it all the time. It's kind of surprizing to now realize it was only a couple of years old when it was regulated to late-night Alabama TV.

I love this one. It's a great movie to mention when somebody thinks mainstream stuff like CATWOMAN or some TRANSFORMER movie as the 'worst ever' film.
INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS (the 50s and 70s ones, at least) have pod people taking over when their human counterparts dissolve into an Alka Seltzer mess.
And you gotta love that alien plant pooch mix up!

Aye aye Captain Raffine! INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS-and the remake with Donald and Nimoy are both great!
And yeah-I agree-you ain't seen a bad movie until you watch VENUS FLY TRAP...except Andy Milliagn films-I tried like hell to sit through GURU the MAD MONK-I couldn't. It was so -ugh.
But yeah-VENUS FLY TRAP is f**king great-in not a good way!
