What is your preference?
Pasta was always served with sauce on top at home. I've started to mix the sauce with pasta only a few years ago, but I still prefer the sauce on top.
How about you?
Same here...as a kid the sauce was always put on top of the pasta.
But nowadays I have realized that the true joy comes with the mixing.
Sauce on top, please. That way I can apply as little, or as much, sauce as I like.
However, my wife almost always makes it by mixing the sauce together w/the pasta right in the pot. I swear she does it because she knows it irritates me. :bouncegiggle:
Both: I mix the sauce into the pasta (lightly), but then I pour a nice helping of sauce on top.
Mixed, if I do the mixing.
On top. With stinky cheese on top of that.
Don't know, don't care, don't matter....
Just...... "FOOD!"
depends. if it's meatballs and sauce, then it goes on top. if it's meat sauce, it gets mixed.
Me, I just eat it

..and that might have stinky cheese too!
Depends. I'll usually pile it on top of spaghetti and let it get mixed in as I eat it. Stuff like penne I'll mix it up before I eat.

That's my standard plan of attack as well.
Is 'Depends' another Trevor Underwear crack? :teddyr:
Always on top. I like to be able to control the pasta/sauce ratio as I eat. When the pasta and sauce is already mixed it looks like Chef Boyardee, not as appealing and just lazy. There has to be some separation between pasta and sauce so they can be savored while combined like a culinary Voltron. Now, the exception is left over pasta. It perfectly acceptable to mix leftovers to save space and time. I often resurrect old spaghetti by reheating it in a pan with cheese on top, sort of like a spaghetti lazangna pie thingy. Did I spell spaghetti right?
yup.now try" lasagna", lol!

My father used to say if cheese smelled like feet, it was usually excellent quality.

Please never use "Trevor," "underwear," and "crack" in the same sentence!
