I first saw this in 1975 at the Strand theater on a double bill with SHADOW OF THE HAWK (1975) (which has the qualitys of a made for TV movie) .
Jim Hutton plays a PSYCHO mother obsessed type who goes to prison and learns the powers of voodoo from his black cellmate (I don't make this s**t up).
And he gets revenge with his psychic powers.

What makes this movie so special is the cast. Julie (CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON) Adams, Aldo Ray, Whit (I WAS A TEENAGE FRANKENSTEIN) Bissel, Neville Brand, Della Reese(!) and actor/director Greydon (DRACULA VS FRANKENSTEIN) Clark!

I got it on vhs back in 1992.  LOOK IT UP!

I remember watching this on VHS in the late 70's/early 80's. I was so excited when I found a copy in a shop recently. My favourite scene is the singing guy on the construction site.

the trailer for this  and SHOGUN ASSASSIN seemed to be on just about every VIPCO vhs and dvd I ever encountered... I think I saw the trailer literally 30 or 40 times before finally getting the full movie, lol

it's somewhat creaky, but definitely enjoyable, and yes pretty bad.
