So, dunno.. just looking around for something cool to do in my spare time... anyone got any games they can recommend to me?
If you're curious what I like, weeell.. let's see. Big into strategy games, played a lot of Civilization back in the day, like a lot of 4x games like Warcraft, Starcraft, etc. The really big I was playing a lot of not too long ago was Stardew Valley, which is kind of a like Harvest Moon. Dunno... don't mind subpar graphics as long as the game is engrossing. Been playing a lot of older games of late, like Dungeon Keeper and Gemcraft.
Console wise, I'm pretty far behind, only own a Playstation 2, and it seems due to the rise of retrogaming, a lot of the good titles on that are going for a pretty penny. On that system, I spent a lot of time on the Disgaea series and Persona 3.
Anyway, just curious if anyone has an suggestions.
The original deus ex was the best damn PC rpg ever done and is available today. It can run on damn near any system today. The graphix are vry old and the phycics are crude but the game and storyline are still the best written.
Currently playing Total War: Warhammer 2, although I frequently like to go mess around on Dragons Age: Origins.
If you want diabolically hard, any of the DARK SOULS series are enough to satisfy the most stubborn masochist!
But for total, immersive open world adventuring, The Elder Scrolls games are hard to beat. I am replaying SKYRIM for the first time in a couple of years and totally loving it!

You know, I've been meaning to play Skyrim, as I loved playing Oblivion back in the day, but I'm just not sure if my computer could handle the "remastered" edition that seems to be sold everywhere nowadays. Actually bought a used copy from a pawn shop, but the #@%#@!!^@ @#@^@ing DRM protection won't let me play it. (Luckily I only spent a few dollars on it.)
So, I dunno if I could get the "old" version from anywhere w/o running into the same problem...
EDIT: I mean, a bought a used copy of the "basic" edition, if anyone's curious.
I don't know how much of a Metroidvania person you are, but if you like them I recommend Hollow Knight. It's probably the best game I played last year. We f you want more Dark Souls in a 2D variety I will say maybe give Salt and Sanctuary a try.

You might try a direct download from STEAM if you are a member.
