Today i learned there is a creature called a hero shrew that has an incredibly strong spine that is like almost no other creatures. Evolutionary scientists consider it very strange that this shrew would have such an unusually string and unique spine. The best theory is that is crawls u der very hervy objects to get to insects to eat and needs the very strong and unusual spine to keep from having it's back broken by the weight.
Cybernetic engineers are also studying the hero shrew's spine for poiisble engineering applications.
Well I learned that The Touch of Satan is easier to sit through
than The Incredibly Strange Creatures; and Catalina Caper.
I learned that you can eat "The Boss" burger at Chili's for supper and still be down 4 pounds the next morning!
The Duct Tape duck has a name, tho I don't remember what it is...
I learned that you can sweat heavily from just going outside less then a minute to get the mail in this horrible heat.
I just had these sweet potato bites that my wife made for supper and they were AWESOME!
today i learned that i am STILL allergic to bees, AND that i need a new epipen after using the last blast. the bee guy is coming though, so they won't die for trying to kill me, it wasn't really THEIR fault. and i'm fine, other than a swollen lip still.
I am learning as I grow older it's hard for me to eat hot food (unless it comes off a grill, of course) in the summer.
All I find myself eating is sandwiches and raisin bran.
And delivery pizza.
I learned, when shooting with a real film maker, that there is ALWAYS a second take!

White-Out is not only still around in this nascent digital age, it comes in many colors but is still called White-Out. Black White-Out is downright awesome, like vampire blood or something, but red White-Out doesn't look much like blood at all. Blue White-Out makes perfect dragon scales and yellow is ready-made for SpongeBob. (I also learned playing with a new case of colored White-Out gets expensive.)
This thread reminds me of the closing segment on Craig Ferguson's show, aka "What did we learn on the show to-night, Craig?"

She went to work, I'm here smoking weed.

Oh yeah. They climb on my rose bush fence, and jump from that onto the bird feeder-which is close to it- but about four feet higher on a metal pole. When big black crows lands in the yard-it scrams!

Me, on the other hand, have been banned for a couple months now. Because my Tumblr blog frequently has titties. And it's linked to my facebook. :bouncegiggle:

Well, don't be mad at me, I didn't do it.
That I was right many years ago when I said exploring the possibility of intelligent design in the universe is best left to agnostics, since atheist and theists are too dogmatic and closed-minded. One side feels sophisticated in saying ID-ers are mouth-breathers with double-digit IQs, and the other begins and ends his argument against life arising from chaos by stubbornly pointing to his holy text and saying, "Because this book says it never did!"
Who is to say whatever created the universe was benign when all we observe argues against it? Why does steadfastly clinging to an idea you were taught without questioning it make you an advanced thinker?
The case for an agnostic bravely contemplating intelligent design:
https://fredoneverything.org/signature-in-the-cell-and-intelligent-design-an-introduction-to-protracted-desperation/
And in the event anyone cares to comment on this post, how about you actually take a moment to read the (I thought really interesting) article and comment on it instead of reiterating your pre-existing convictions on a subject not many people seem able to discuss without being dogmatically argumentative?
Very thought provoking and well written, but Fred needs to proofread a bit better.
This column had more typos than is his wont.
That being said, I'll definitely be sharing that one!
I learned some people are itchin' for a fight.
Interesting, but I thought he was making too many leaps of logic and his if then statements don't really hold up to even cursory examination. I am not against Intelligent Design and if it were true it would conveniently answer a lot of (as yet) unanswered questions about the universe (although in science truths rarely turn out to be convenient, often contradicting other previously long held 'facts' and causing them to have to re-evaluated).
To sum up, I don't think this will change anyones pre-existing views but it is an interesting read if one has any interest in the subject (and you can ignore the typos).
I think since that writer retired to Mexico he's written almost exclusively on his phone, stopped caring as much....and he had gone legally blind partly after receiving botched surgery through the VA to correct some Vietnam-related eye issues. He was a Marine who served multiple tours. I agree, Alex, not world-changing but still interesting.
Thank you and thank Indy for taking time to read it.
