Hey guys, this is a follow-up to a question someone asked a few weeks ago regarding the new Vampire Hunter D theatrical film. Animeondvd.com has posted a press release from the film's distributor. Apparently the movie is coming to our theaters in September, with wider distribution than anime movies typically get in America, with the video and DVD release in time for Christmas.
I don't remember a new one coming out. I have the original and love it.
It would be cool to see the original one on the big screen!
Later,
John
I wasn't aware there was a new one. Neat.
Cool. I love the original, and VHD: Bloodlust too. I'll have to check that out.

Yes it would be
very cool to see it on the big screen. The original story was a fantastic mix of old-world vampirism with science fiction that really entertained..the visuals and the variety of monsters (and the werewolf scene with the horse) were really cool. Overall, a very dark and forboding piece of work worthy of great praise!
I also loved the shot in
VHD 2:Bloodlust where D is on horseback in the cemetery with the full moon behind him, his hair and his cape flowing in the wind. A hauntingly georgeous scene.
Guys, check the date on the first post. He's talking about VAMPIRE HUNTER D: BLOODLUST, which came out almost ten years ago!

Well, if the Japanese could get the lovely adult film star Miki Sawaguchi (whose cups runneth over naturally) then we could be looking at a new live action movie:
Vampire Hunter DD, Braless[/quote] Hey, I'D go see it....:twirl:
