What are your bad/cheesy 70s (ok 80s too) sci fi movies. I'm talking MST bad .. maybe even some of their episodes. Here are couple of mine:
The Alien Factor
The Alpha Incident
Giant Spider Invasion
I will always have a soft spot for 'The Humanoid'. Between Richard Kiel and the Darth Vader knock off what's not to love?
Damn, you ruled out "the green slime" which I liked a lot.
Battle beyond the stars. Nice kinda light hearted stuff, plus cybill danning's t-ts. Plus a ship with huge t-ts.
Galaxy of terror. Superdark, horror, but some decent writing and effects, especially for a low budget movie.
Frankenstein unbound. A very strange take on the frankenstein legend with some SF touches. Raoul Julia as the doctor may seem odd but it worked.
Wow, they're all roger corman too....
. DEADLY SPAWN (1983) is pretty great! It's got a 3-headed monster with lotsa teeth and baby monsters!
. EVIL SPAWN (1985) is a remake of the WASP WOMEN (1959) with John Carradine for a second, and lotsa cheap gore!
. Now SPASMS (1983) I dunno- this movie..is BAD! But it's got cool stuff like this-

My go-to cheesy scifi from this period is Invasion of the Bee Girls. The men of the town are dropping dead from heart attacks, brought upon by extreme pleasure from sexual congress. The culprits are genetically modified women with bee DNA. Beesploitation? Coolest thing ever. I wish I could find more movies like this.

I'm also quite partial to a made for TV movie called Assassin (1986), about a killer android programmed to, well, assassinate. Whole movie is here! Watch it while you can!

that Bee Girls one has been on my watch list for ages. the trailer looks mad, in a slightly Russ Meyer kinda way
will add HANDS OF STEEL, CONTAMINATION and EMPIRE OF THE ANTS...
A favorite of mine:
WITHOUT WARNING(1980)

If Invasion of the Bee Girls is on your watch list, do it do it do itttt. There's nothing like it that I've found elsewhere.
Here's a different cheesy scifi movie. Brain Damage from 1988. A guy finds a parasite that squirts happy juice into his brain.

Haha I've been wanting to get Creepozoid on DVD forever and almost pulled the trigger today. I went with another Charles Band joint, Crash! instead. This is definitely on my wish list though :)
.PLANET OF THE DINOSAURS (1978) is cool. Great animation too!
.Did anybody mention TROG (1970) with Joan Crawford and a caveman?
. LASERBLAST (1978) always had a soft spot in my head.

A tie between Ice Pirates and Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone. (Only because when I was little we saw them at a drive-in double feature and I won a bet with my dad and stayed awake through both.)

It's a bit slow but I enjoy it. hardly anyone in it can be bothered to act scared when faced with life-or-death situations. Stephanie Beacham is hilariously mis-cast too...
I'm gonna give a nod to galaxina. It was overshadowed by the horrific murder of it's star by her scumbag hubby hut deserves to be appreciated as a good b movie on it's own merits.
ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK(1981)

"The Crater Lake Monster" has it's deficiencies but it's still a fun prehistoric monster rampage flick.
"Arena" is one of the better attempts at a futuristic sports/pluck underdog wins out movie.
my memory must be going, for me to forget about this thread from a few months ago, then make one with almost exactly the same title the other day.
I did check out THE BEE GIRLS btw. good fun
Hardware isn't too bad. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099740/ (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099740/)

Hands of Steel (1986)
I love this one
one of the best arm-wrestling-sploitation flicks ever. up there with OVER THE TOP
A made for tv movie called "the intruder within" was a completely honest ripoff at "alien" and never even pretend red not to be. It was fairly decent for "Alien on an oil rig". https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082565/ (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082565/)
"Not of this earth" is another alien ripoff, with area good twists.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102556/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102556/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1)
Proteus was a decent Thing wannabe on an Oil Platform. And Leviathan was Alien in an underwater base.
Message From Space & Krull are usually a fun watch.

I can't comment on Message from Space, not having seen it, but, I have to agree with Krull, which actually winds up being one of my favorite films of all time.
Both Liam Neeson and Robbie Coltrane would get one of their 1st film roles in this film. This would be Coltrane's 6th film role and Neeson's 4th.
On the other hand, this would bring to a close John Walsh's role in films, after over 30 years as a film actor and over 180 roles, this would be his last theatrical film.
Though, I think one of the most interesting acting facts is that after playing the hero in this film, Ken Marshall, 14 years later, would appear as Lt. Commander Michael Eddington in Star Trek : Deep Space 9.
