Shadow of the vampire. This is an underrated horror masterpiece. Also a very original.
HELLHOUSE LLC was a wonderfully creepy film for the season!
I think I'm going to go with a few South African horror films this Halloween.
Looking for a creepy trio for a long night in with movies...
1963's The Haunting.
1980's The Changeling.
And of course 2002's The Ring.
Kristi has decided on the following movies for Samhain...
Hocus Pocus.
The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Good choices.
Triumph Of The Will, because, y'know, the elections are always about a week or so after Halloween....

You might also consider Black Beard's Ghost, Abbot & Costello meet Frsnkenstein, or one of the Munster movies.
Halloween starts at SA cinemas this week so I think I'll go see that.
Planet of the vampires: may be italy's only good SF movie, a SF horror mix directed by Mario bava that is fairly decent and very atmospheric.
Quatermass and the pit: a hammer horror\scifi movie very well done, fairly intelligent SF with good acting and fairly original.
i will be in florida and i'm going to be doing a"drivein" on the wall of the church across the street during their " trunkrtreat" event. movies will be thunder and the house of magic followed by the 31 version of the old dark house. should be fun!
Halloween night I won't get home till after 11PM. So all the trick or treaters will be gone. But I'll be more than happy to stuff my face with candy and crank up some flicks. Probably one or more of the following:
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Evil Dead II
Suspiria
Zombie
Dead Alive
Evilspeak
Halloween
Nightmare On Elm Street 3
Friday The 13th (original)
Or maybe put on a horror flick on YouTube like Hell Night, Madman, or The Fog.
The manitou. Tony Curtis and Michael ansara vs an ancient Amerindian demon. Hokey but scary too.
Me and Tiana watched MAY (2002) and DARK PLACE (2002).
