As of June 1 last year, I weighed in at 279 pounds.
My clothes were too tight, I tired easily, and I hated what I saw when I looked in the mirror.
My wife suggested that we try a diet plan called Whole30 for a month and see what happened.
I dropped 27 pounds in six weeks. We've continued to eat Whole30 at home, and simply watched our portions and cut way back on sweets when we eat out. I was worried with the stress of the school year that my weight would creep back up after I went back to work - but it hasn't.
As of this morning, I weigh 236 pounds.
43 pounds lost! And I still get to eat most of the things I enjoy, too - just smaller portions and, with some things, less often.
But today - I'm celebrating! Chocolate chip cookies for breakfast, then back to healthy stuff for lunch and dinner!
220's, look out! I'm coming for ya!!! :teddyr: :bouncegiggle: :drink:
Congratulations, Indy! My weight has been on a rollercoaster ride for the past 30 years. Every few years I go on a fitness kick and lose 20, 30 maybe even 40 pounds. Then I gain half of it back. Then I lose a little. Then I gain more. In 2012 I was at 181 pounds and working out almost every day. About a year ago, I was up to over 230. Now I'm at about 220. The struggle continues . . .
News like that sets a good tone to the entire morning. Well done, sir, well done!
Congrats: I have to lose 10 kg by Christmas or Mom says she won't feed me then.
