I saw most of this yesterday on TCM while I was waiting for trick or treat to start and ended up getting into it. It's an anthology of horror stories, each centered around an antiques shop run by Peter Cushing. Every story was tied in to someone coming into the shop and offending Cushing's character by ripping him off. Bad idea. I liked it enough to have ordered a copy this morning, and think that age and style of horror (a counterpart of the classic golden age sci-fi, somehow) works better than almost anything done today, which misses the mark on capitalizing on campiness. It's a fun film!
If you enjoyed FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE try Amicus's The HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD with Cushing, Christopher Lee, and Ingrid Pitt!
I had From Beyond the Grave on VHS before I sold my entire VHS collection. In response to RC . . . I just watched my House that Dripped Blood DVD again a couple weeks ago.

Thanks. Onto my list it goes.
Very nice! Will check out both these movies.
Ha, just watched that on Halloween. Always liked the 'Door' story, which is quite Lovecraftian.
Amicus also made DR.TERRORS HOUSE OF HORRORS with Lee and Cushing, TALES THAT WITNESS MADNESS, ASYLUM, TALES FROM THE CRYPT with Cushing, the VAULT OF HORROR and I'm sure there are more.
They're all horror anthologies , of varying quality. But they're all good fun!

So, having watched this film you are going to risk angering the cats?
I for one welcome our feline overlords.
Also not by Amicus, but, in my humble opinion, the best anthology movie was BLACK SABBATH (1963) which is narrated by Boris Karloff and stars him in one of the 3 episodes as well!
One of the worst is narrated by John Carradine and features Lon Chaney Jr is DR. TERROR'S GALLERY OF HORRORS (1967). UGH!
Do NOT confuse this with the fine DR.TERRORS HOUSE OF HORROR'S (1965), which also is an anthology and stars Cushing and Lee!

Then you got BLACK SABBATH (1963), narrated by Boris Karloff, and he stars in one of the 3 episodes!
Plus it's Mario (BLACK SUNDAY) Bava!
