Title: WTF does all this mean?
Post by: RCMerchant on December 13, 2018, 12:20:43 PM
I have a blog on Tumblr- this person started following me.
Far out- I went to check out his/her blog- and this was the header:

"20, white, non-binary trans butch lesbian, polyamorous,, Lokisdottir (patron of Tyr and Hel). Will frequently post about Norse magic."
Now- I know what some of that stuff means.
Otherwise, I'm f**king lost.
The blog itself seems to be just one big rant. I didn't even try to read it.

It means that person is insecure and has daddy issues. Give it a pass.

If you are non-binary how can you be a lesbian? I know I am not quite up to speed on all the different genders we are now supposed to have, but surely...

Never mind, I am not sure I actually want to try and figure these things out. Whatever floats their boat as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else.

She has "daddy issues" 'cause she's a dike?  Are you sure they're not "mommy issues"?

"... trans butch lesbian, polyamorous..."
I don't understand it either as RC first kind of said (WTF is "non-binary"???) but I agree with you.  Don't hurt?  Cool.

Non-binary is when you identify as neither male or female. I can understand people who are homosexual, bisexual, transexual and even the 1% of the population who have no interest in sex at all. Non-binary however I can't quite get and every time it comes up I keep thinking of the scene from Life of Brian where John Cleese mutters "Its symbolic of his struggle with reality". I have one friend who declared herself to be non-binary, changed her name and is pretty militant about things a couple of years back. Her behaviour has caused most of her social group to now avoid her (if you dare accidentally call her Clare instead of her new name Cato, be prepared to receive a lecture). She has a husband and two kids and a female lover on the side and her husband has been having some mental health issues. I can't help wondering how much of this (if any), is down to the way she is behaving.

Me: bisexual, celibate: 100% cool with my own sexuality and that of others in the LGBTIQ community. My sexual orientation doesn't define me, what I do and say does.
