Title: Bethesda can't stop being terrible

$79.99 for an over-sized plastic bottle of s**tty rum.

Selling "canvas bags" that are actually made of cheap nylon.

Accidentally leaking a bunch of people's credit cards and personal information.

Fallout 76 being a colossal dumpster fire that reeks of short deadlines.

Accidentally letting players access the debug room that's full of literally every item in the game.

Bethesda, what the hell are you doing?

I think we started boycotting them after Fallout 4,

I admit we've had fun with Fallout 76, which despite its many flaws is not without its charms. There were clearly some people at work in its creation who cared and put in details that go above and beyond the marketing ploy its detractors try to say it is. There are locations in the Appalachian Wasteland that stand beside any setting in a Fallout title, and I actually prefer the new non-stop VATS to the freeze frame one of the past, which spoon fed victories.

As for what I don't like, well if I went into those, it'd be that long post I promised Dark Alex.

Remember, since 1999 "Bethesda" has been a brand name on a box, Todd's a figurehead stuck out in public, and the money and authority lie behind it with its parent corporation, the money-hungry ZeniMax, which would turn out anything for a buck, and clearly has. If BSW was an indie operation again, concentrating on one title at a time and doing it well, its games would be much better.

As it is one of the most respected developers in the business is rapidly being destroyed from within and taking its most beloved series down with it.

Not that excited about ESVI, are you?

Well, I'm not gonna pre-order. I'm going to wait and see after it comes out if it's decent.
I have high hopes that it'll be better than Skyrim but I don't entirely trust Bethesda.

I'm very excited about Elder Scrolls 6.   Skyrim is one of my favorite games ever.
I liked Fallout 4 a lot.

I've barely looked at F76 and simply don't care to play an online game.  I don't want to play online with other people.  I played ladder Starcraft back in the day.  I know where all the leads; nope, no thanks, with a triple coating of nope sauce.

I see F76 as the first real misfire.   I see people who didn't like Skyrim and, well, I don't get it.  But that's me.

Same. When I heard it was online only I was like "Eeeeeeehhhhhh......."
The only online games I've played extensively were Team Fortress 2 and Trouble in Terrorist Town on Garry's Mod.
But I even lost interest in those after a while. I even tried ESO which was just... Okay...

I was still cautiously optimistic for Fallout 76. I thought maybe since it was Fallout it may actually be my entry point
into online survival games (I couldn't even figure out how to run Day Z). I just thought at the time "Well I'll just wait
for the review's and hopefully it would be good enough for me."

...And then I saw this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rR95GO0zMuY). The title of the video alone made
me realize "Oh. This is going to very, very bad."

Even before this point I was annoyed with Bethesda for dumbing down FO4's gameplay and RPG elements and trying
to make the paid mod s**t work again. But I didn't start having a genuine distaste for the company until I heard about
the canvas bags and s**tty rum. Then I saw this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxoYo0wf-0c).
I then realized they have always been awful and they made it onto my s**t list.

You know if people quit buying from bad companies until they shaped up things would change.

I think Dishonored is maybe the best game Bethesda created, l love it and have done easily twenty playthroughs, and it gives me hope that all is not lost there, even after dying three times in a row to a massively overpowered Scorch Beast the last time I played FO76.
