I just heard about The Fog finally coming to DVD and an old memory stirred in my head. Every now and then it comes back and haunts me. All I can remember is the tv commercial for it. You see a woman from the back, brushing her long black hair. She's humming a song of which I can't remember. The camera pans around to her face to show it's just a skull. Another part from this same spot I can remember is a girl running down a hallway with stained glass windows on both sides and hands crashing through them. Now I may be confusing 2 movies together. But as far as a date goes these aired sometime in the mid to late 70's.
I was a little kid then and it gave me nightmares and to this day it still haunts me. I would love to find out what this movie is so I can watch it and put it to rest so to speak.
The scene with the stained glass windows is in the movie, it's during the seige on the church. The other image has nothing to do with the film, so I doubt it was part of the trailer, although it's possible.
But what was the movie?
...it's SUSPIRIA. I'll check the trailers on the disc tonight to see if that is indeed the film in question.

I think what he meant was that with The Fog coming out on DVD, it brought back memories of another TV ad that he saw, not that the scene was in the ad for the Fog itself. At least that's how I read it.
There is a scene at the start of Suspiria where a girl is murdered and she crashes through a huge stained glass window above a lobby.
The scene of the hair-brushing skeleton appears at the start of the U.S. trailer.
Thank you very very much.
