Name a bad movie that you respect for some reason.
The monolith monsters. In an era of giant mutant bugs and lizards, plus "commie surrogates from space", the monolith monsters tried to make a different, new and orignal monster, more or less a lifeless, mindless chemical reaction instead of a rubber monster. The monolith monsters were based on high school chemistry where certain compounds will spontaneously crystallize under the right conditions, and made an original menace.
Yeah yeah it had flaws, how did it continue to draw silicone from human bodies after it was no longer in contact with them, why didnct contact with human blood plasma neutralize them, yadda yadda yadda. They could have easily left out the horror aspect of the creatures turning humans to stone and made a better movie. I respect the makers from trying to be original and coming up with an imperfect but unique idea. I respect that.
I agree 100% on MONOLITH MONSTERS. Fantastic film. Pure sci-fi.
P.S. The turning people into stone aspect was pretty cool, if you ask me!
