I always thought Robert Quarry was over-rated. He did 2 Yorga movies- which were run of the mill at best, yet horror fans thought he was the second coming of Christopher Lee.
In an interview he had the balls to say that Lugosi was a terrible actor!
Tom Cruise.

If true,
ROBERT QUARRY was an idiot... I like those
YORGA movies, but they are silly.

Tom Cruise.
Fair at best.
I think
SPENCER TRACY is overrated.
"The leetle feeshes! The leetle feeshes!"
SPENCER TRACY only gets great for me in the later films...
I would agree on Tom Cruise and Spencer Tracy.
Tracy was fine in BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK, though. Great movie.
Shia LaBeouf. I never got the hype. Was he popular because of his average looks? His acting never impressed me.

That's a mystery for the ages and sages.
Clint Eastwood. His whole range was talking without parting his teeth.

Yeah...but he was so too cool for school, man. And charisma makes up for talent, sometimes.
George Clooney. The man can't act, period. The worst image I have of him is from Batman & Robin -granted, a bad example of a movie, but he received a fat check from it anyways-, where he's saying "Alfred is dying" with a huge smile on his face. Simply awful.

I got to see the UK premier of that one.
Some nights I still wake up in a cold sweat thinking about it. *shudder*
Any actor that's been in a film which disses my country.

Well, the ladies like him, I reckon.
Why he was in a Batman movie, I dunno...mebbe he had just the right kinda nipples and butt-cheeks for a Batman movie...?

No, he got the part because
VAL KILMER had played Batman in the previous installment and did not get a long with the director of both movies,
JOEL SCHUMACHER. I'd guess they did not want to work together again.
CLOONEY's acting is not good. The movie is dumb.
Speaking of Kilmer-yeah- that guy. Can't stand him.

Yes, like I said, one of
TRACY's later movies... of course
BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK also has
ROBERT RYAN ERNEST BORGNINE ANNE FRANCIS ... that's where
TRACY (with few exceptions) starts to get good for me.
kevin bacon. couldn't stand him on my soap, can't stand him in movies either.

I dunno. I think he's an excellent actor. JUDGEMENT AT NUREMBERG, INHERIT THE WIND, FATHER OF THE BRIDE, ADAM'S RIB . . . those are excellent performances.

His Mr.Hyde was awful, though! All you need is some eggs and toast, because that was ham.
Keanu Reeves.
As was said of his role in that thing caledmthe day the east stood still, "To portray an alien incapable of feeling human emotions, the director picked an actor incapable of expressing any. "
Isn't it common knowledge that Keanu Reeves isn't the greatest actor? His "acting" was laughed at since he went mainstream, and he has countless razzie nominations to prove it :bouncegiggle:
If anything, I think Keanu Reeves is underrated. His acting is limited but once in a while he will surprise us and shine like in The Matrix or John Wick.

And all those you name are LATER performances... he became a star in the 1930s. You also named my favorite movies he appears in.
Richard Gere. He's a solid actor, but I don't think he deserved the fame he had (for awhile, anyway). He was basically a pretty-boy and he got a lot of roles because of that and not his acting abilities.
Rudolf Valentino. WTF? Flaring your nostrils and bugging your eyes is not acting.
You know, I don't think Keanu Reeves is a good actor, but it's pleasant to watch. I don't mind him on the screen to be honest. He doesn't try to chew on the scenery like others, he's just there to do his job and go home.

I would, if anyone could find him!
I would add Adam Sandler, Eddie Murphy, Dan Ackroyd, or David Spade.
Hilary Swank: double Oscar winner, yes, I know but I have never rated her highly.
She made a nonsense of her name here when she came to make the film Red Dust: instead of staying in a hotel, she insisted on living in a house on her own.
While not necessarily overrated now, when Christian Slater first arrived on the scene he was being compared to a young Jack Nicholson . He's been in some entertaining films but I think his acting is atrocious. Don't call him if you want a character actor because you'll get the same deadpan delivery he's been giving since the 80s.

I don't think he's a bad actor, but I do believe he's pretty much a one-trick pony: only give him roles in which he can act like a crazy son of a b***h, otherwise he's just flat out boring. In
Very Bad Things, for example, he's pretty good.

I heard kilmer refused to work with Schwarzenegger after he kicked kilmer out of terminator 2 for being a "girly man".
