Title: Billy the kid vs. Dracula.
Post by: Svengoolie 3 on June 01, 2019, 09:02:07 PM
John caradine plays adracula in an embassy film. Shot in 8 days in 1966.

Yes, it's  as bad as it sounds. Made a fun ep of svengoolie tho...

Vampires in broad daylight, the budget didn't allow for a coffin,  matte on black bat sillohouettes, very unvinving fake bats...

Imagine an old universal dracula movie with color added and all the quality subtracted....

ADHD to that one, I forget the name, where they kill a vampire cowboy, (or cowboy vampire) with a bullet with a cross in it....

Billy the kid vs. Dracula didn't really hold my attention until the end (NO SPOILERS) when Billy finally subdues Dracula long enough to kill him... Total "WTF?" moment!

I know the movie you're talking about , I think it's "Curse of the undead".

Checked: Yep.

I enjoyed CURSE OF THE UNDEAD.
I like BILLY THE KID VS DRACULA more than JESSE JAMES MEETS FRANKENSTEIN'S DAUGHTER, which isn't saying much.

Always sorta made me wonder why a couple double cross cut bullets in the heart (like the ones you see in Taxi Driver or Cemetery Man) wouldn't solve the problem......

didn't he try and shoot him and that didn't work so he threw the gun at him and that DID work

Yup, the WTF moment I was talking about.
Despite the doctor's advice, they dump two seven-shot six shooters into his belly....
Sorta makes me wonder how it woulda turned out, had Ramon Rojo from A Fistful of Dollars (1964) been there.... With cross cut bullets.

There's something I always wanted to see in a vampire movie.  During the epic fight with dracula hecs winning until one of the guys he's choking out let's a massive fart that literally stuns dracula, leaving him staggered,  weak and choking until someone stakes him.

It turns out the guy had eaten a huge garlic cheese omelette a few hour earlier....

Seen both Billy the Kid vs. Dracula (1966) and Curse of the Undead (1959.) Thus Curse beats out Billy as the 1st vampire western by 7 years. Both are memorable for different reasons. Though, Curse is probably the better film having the better cast.

Eric Fleming as the hero
Michael Pate as the vampire
Kathleen Crowley as the heroine
John Hoyt as the doctor
Bruce Gordon as the human villain
Edward Binns as the sheriff
Jay Adler as the bartender
and stuntman Eddie Parker.

There is also, which I have not seen, Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daugher, also from 1966.
