I remember only a few shreds of this (black-and-white?) movie about a ship's captain, a burly man, who is methodically killing off the people on his ship, to "feed" his ship. I remember someone (probably a crewmember) stabbing the captain, him dying with eyes open, and along with his death, the ship's engine grinding to a halt. A moment later, the engine starts up again and the captain comes back to life and (IIRC) seeks revenge.
Other than it being in black and white it sounds a bit like Death Ship.
Wow, Thanks! I just looked up the plot and cast and yes, George Kennedy's photo fits my memory, and the plot matches up: ... Marshall manages to stab a gloating (captain) Ashland, apparently killing him and stopping the ship (and then) Margaret is captured by a resurrected Ashland ...
Solved. Thanks!
No problem. Andrew did do a review of that one on here.
O.P. "Gargoyle" declares this one "Solved" a couple posts up. Please move!
Wow, I actually solved one. I'd forgotten all about this.
Good job, Alex!

In all the years I've been here, I think I've solved maybe three or four.
