Title: A good 3quel?
Post by: Svengoolie 3 on June 29, 2019, 07:36:58 AM
One of the first if not the first 3quel was "son of frankenstein" and man,  was it bad compared to the two movies that came before it.

This seems to have set a precedent. Most 3quels have really sucked when compared to the 2 good movies that came before it.  Terminator 3, alien 3, superman 3, jaws 3......

The only good 3quel I know is star trek 3.

So any of you  guys know a good 3quel?

I liked the 3rd Quatermass movie! Also DRACULA,PRINCE OF DARKNESS, and the EVIL OF FRANKENSTEIN is my favorite Hammer Frankenstein film.
GOLDFINGER is my favorite Bond film.

BEAST OF BLOOD was just as good (?) as MAD DOCTOR OF BLOOD ISLAND or BRIDES OF BLOOD.

Thor Ragnarok.

I mean, if you look at the three Thor movies as a linear story, in it's own right, and as a trilogy within the MCU.  There's 3 solo films with him so.  And honestly I feel it's the best of the 3 films as far as 'his' own series is.

Alas, I do not, for I live in an area where it is difficult to buy older movies that weren't mainstream hits. I have the first one (my favourite horror movie of all time), part three, the remake, and Freddy vs. Jason. My movie collection is fairly small, perhaps 350 movies, but two-thirds of them are horror, so I don't feel too bad.
