Title: Yet another animated series reboot.
Post by: Alex on July 13, 2019, 08:15:52 AM
This time it is the turn of The Flintstones. Alongside The Animaniacs, WB has given the green light for a new series of Fred & co. Seth McFarlane is at the helm so expect it to be a bit more adult than the shows from the 60's.

the original animaniacs is how i hooked syd vicious on shakespeare, who she still loves. THE best present i ever gave her was the annotated works of shakespeare for her 16th bday.

I remember when we were visiting a relative asking one of my uncles if I could read some of a Shakespeare book he had (I was about 10 at the time). He told me no. I bought the complete works of Shakespeare on the off chance Ash ever wants to read him.

Not that I rate him highly. I think he is the most overrated person in all of literature. But should Ash ever want to try reading his stuff, well it will be available.

Like the Flintstones but can't stand Seth McFarlane, so it's a pass for me.

I agree that I'd like to see more Pinky and the Brain someday.

Most everything done by Hanna-Barbara was garbage.

I don't need a video explaining to me why Hanna Barara sucked. I know why the sucked. Poor animation of old TV shows (with a laff f**king track!) like the Flintstones (Honeymooners) or Dick Van Dyke (Jetsons) in cartoon form- only for pinheads.

Interesting. As a kid, i enjoyed cartoons like The Jetsons, The Flintstones, Space Ghost and Rocky And Bullwinkle, but even then, shows like Rocky And Bullwinkle seemed very repetitive. I couldn't watch them now. But I can still watch The Pink Panther, particularly the 60s and 70s episodes. The laugh track is a bit annoying, but the overall stories and flow is still good.
