Okm I was just reminded of a few TVMs that I want to bring up be cause they we're kinda good.
"I, desire" aka desire the vampire. David Noughton is famous for being an American werewolf in London, but he had a starring role in a this vampire TVM. Not bad IIRC. Nice vampire hottie.
"The Norliss tapes. " Damn, whoever wrote this should have written more horror TVMs. Here's one story I'd like to see remade, with a good budget and actors. Fairly original plot and well made, should be on DVD.
"The intruder within". OK, an honest in your face unabashed and unashamed "Alien" ripoff set on an oil platform. They didn't even bother to file the serial numbers off. At least it doesn't even pretend not to be something it's not. As far as alien ripoffs go it was fairly good. I've seen waaaay worse movies get DVD releases.
I really liked Tin Man the syfy channel's take on the Wizard of Oz mythos. Although that really a mini-series instead of a stand alone movie.

Now that this has been expa red to cover miniseries, i'd like to add the battlestar galactica reboot miniseries. Really well-done

Back when Masterpiece was Masterpiece Theater, some of the greatest miniseries ever made were shown there. Today, less so.
