OK we all know "they crawling eye" was an eye full of bad movie that was on the first national broadcast on mst3k.

Bad as it was it inspired an artist to remiagine it.

No, the joke is that the first weapon they use is a bunch of coat hangers to try and defend themselves from the s**tty CGI birds. All while they had a huge arsenal waiting inside their van.

I know this was for TV... but when I was very young I was spooked by Barnabas Collins' portrait :
