I never watched "dodgeball" but was walking thru a room it was on in and heard this:
"Is it necessary for me to drink my own urine? No, but I do it anyway because it's
sterile and I like the taste."
I didn't quite fall over saying "daaafuuuuuug??? " but it was a close thing.
Also in the extended version of Lifeforce there was the line where Mathilda may walked up to a man and said slowly in her French accent "Use my body. "
Yeah, nearly lost consciousness there, if you've seen Lifeforce and are a straight male or lesbian you'll understand.
Have you ever heard a line in a movie that shocked or stunned you? If itcs suitable for this board share it.
Nothing packed quite the punch of hearing "Luke, I AM your father!" for the first time, back in 1978.

I was going to mention he got the year wrong but decided not to. Likewise I passed in the slight misquote which has sadly become "the truth" because the public has decided it is. In modern 'murca perception equal truth, reality is an outdated concept.

It was 1980.
Were there really 3 years between the first two movies? I was going from memory, but . . . wow!
Ah, I see what you mean . . . it was "No, I am your father," instead of "Luke, I am your father."
A minor difference, but funny how the other version has gained traction.
Oh well, as Inigo Montoya said: "I am your father! Prepare to die!!" :bouncegiggle:

Luke's answer, of course, was "Can I give you a hand?"
Ok since it's come to that...

BTW, Not a movie line but this still made me jump.
On an ep of Dr. Who.
"Davros. My name is Davros."
"I never forget a face. Especially after I sat on it." China Blue from "Crimes of Passion"

Having worked for years as an editor, I often use the "edit" function here, mostly to correct spelling or grammar. I avoid editing content as that is... disingenuous.
