A guy in my locality has recelty stswrted collecting funds to launch a lawsuit against an internet advertiser for theft. He claims the advertiser who will not stop sending him ads is stealing his internet connection bandwidth which he pays for and is his property. The advertiser is essentially, by sending him ads, stealing his bandwidth. He has sent several cease and desist emails, it bored, he sent a registered letter returned unopened and even bad his lawyer send an official cease order to the advertiser and his ISP, which had no results.
This could be a precedent case in that if we own the net access we pay for advertisers are essentially stealing our property when they send us unwanted ads thast take up out bandwidth.
Of course this is 'murca, where nearly every single case of personal rights vs corporate wishes pretty much goes the same way. Still it could be an interesting lawsuit.
