Always enjoyable. Deceptively profound.

Even when I'm not very fond of romantic comedies, I always enjoy watching Bill Murray, and this is no exception. Every time that particular plot shows up I instantly imagine myself living the same thing, and how I would react. Definitely very fun stuff to dream about.
I remember a great episode in STARGATE SG1 in which two characters, Teal'c and Jack O'Neill, had the same problem, it was one of my favorites. Strangely enough, it also involved romance at one point. And to be honest, when I imagine myself in that situation, great part of it is about the same deal.
It seems like that particular plot device is always meant to be about getting laid finding true love.  :bouncegiggle:

I think I'm with you, to me pondering having a Groundhog Day experience sets my imagination going and I find myself lost in contemplating what such freedom would be like, liberated from time and rules and consequences, endlessly at ease to do whatever I wanted, and to experience dimensions of life I never otherwise could or would. Would this be Heaven or Hell? What would I learn? How would it change me? Would excess or denial make the most profound impact on me? How long before I bought a silver hammer, named it Maxwell, and started murdering people, just for kicks?

The most wonderful thing about GROUNDHOG DAY is the idea a person could get better and better.   I like ANDIE MacDOWELL but could only claim to be a fan of BILL MURRAY for this movie.  Definitely a favorite; I own my RAY CHARLES collection because of this film.

There was always the movie Happy Death Day which was about a girl that was stuck in a time loop where she keep getting killed by some maniac in a mask.
