I remember having a great time sitting up in my friend's bedroom laughing myself silly over this movie with her and her brother and her brother's friend, and I've been afraid to watch it again in case I wouldn't think it was funny now, and somehow that might taint the memory of how much fun we had seeing it back then. I doubt it would have that same effect, or age well. Maybe I'll put it on someday when my children are older and show them what the world used to look like.
An exchange from when we saw it in 1995:
Mark: "You'll laugh til you fart."
Me: "Girls don't fart, Markie."
Mark: "It must go someplace then because I don't see many of you floating up into the sky like balloons."
Loved it back then, and love it today. One of my favorites comedies. I loved the sequel too and felt good watching how they actually cared about the original, using a lot of the same gags but in different situations, and not forgetting other characters, like the blind kid.

Tara Sue used to tell me "My farts don't stink." And I didn't argue with her becuase she was 6'2" and bi-polar and once picked me up on Christmas Eve screaming- " What kind of potatoes do I like!" I said "Little red ones." Then she kissed me and went back to bed! I had been blacked out on the living room couch!
What were we talking about?
this is one of those movies I used to see on TV every so often as a youngster in bits and pieces and really liked , but not all at once
someday I'm going to have to do something about that
