What do the gold stars under members names here mean? RC has five stars, most everyone else has four or fewer and it's never occurred to me to wonder about those. Anyone?
Another measure of seniority, I guess. Length of membership, number of posts, maybe?
How many posts you have posted
0-9 is one star
10-99 is two stars
100-999 is three stars
1000-9999 is four stars
10000+ is 5 stars.
Rev's got almost 20,000 posts and four stars. People who have five stars have fewer posts and less positive karma. I can't figure it out.

Holy s**t, you're right. I never noticed before but Rev only has four. I assumed you get five when you become a Kraken.

El Misfit is right, and I think AJ's probably right about me. I'm not counted as a kraken (for purposes of star computation) because I have the moderator title instead. The Kraken position was added late in the game, it wasn't there from the start, so this is probably an unforeseen bug.

If anything mods should have a special symbol to make them stand out.
Maybe instead of five stars it's five of those goo drips from the reviews.
