For some reason November seems like the most hated month of the year. Popular belief is that most suicides occur in November and or winter, but has been proven wrong (most suicides actually occur during spring / summer according to statistics).
Next to October, November is probably one of my favorite months of the year. I love the transition from autumn to winter that takes place in November, and I like the short dark days. In my childhood November was known as the month of fog in our neck of the woods. We had some of the thickest fog ever, all day and all night, so it was pretty cool 'playing in the fog' when we were kids.
Any 'appreciation' for November or is it just another meaningless month for you?

Don't know no nothing 'bout no "popular beliefs".
February is the most hated month of the year. And it's the
LONGEST.
Yeah- February...ugh!
I like November. Turkey day!
In the US, November means Thanksgiving and football. I agree with Allhallowsday; February is much worse.

Yes, appreciation, and no it's full of meaning. Allhallowsday is my New Year's Day, All Saints Day, the day after Halloween.

That ever dwindling list of relatives who avoid me the rest of the year, only to invite me to a couple of awkward gatherings with the promise of free food........

This gets me through the obligatory shave & a bath & a tie.............

Here is summer so it's hot as Hell, but I don't mind November, it's a cool month. Now, September... ugh... no holidays, transition between winter and spring with the awful first heath waves, still too far away from vacation dates or even Christmas, simply s**tty all around.
f**k September.
I like this time of year as we slowly slip towards winter proper. When I go out for walks the world has less people wandering around at it feels like a quieter, more peaceful place. I find this to be a pleasing illusion.

my husband, youngest niece, grand niece, 3 grand nephews and the majority of my besties were born in november, i love it!
My son was born Nov.13th, 1992. It was Friday! :buggedout:
Tiana bought a turkey today with all the fixings. That means mushroom soup and greenbeans, yams, collard greens, stuff to make stuffing (including a couple apples), and I'll make gravy from the pan juice!
And biscuits! And pecan and apple pie!
it's nice to know we aren't the only people doing the holiday 2 weeks early! :)
for us it's to allow our bestie to have time to work on the donation bikes and spend time with his GF, and for us to celebrate curtis's bday AND the first anniversary of moving into our lovely little apartment next weekend. we'll see him again after the holiday, and go to whiskey dick's next weekend, and eat BBQ on the actual day, lol!

Maybe that reminds me why I don't listen to
TOM WAITS.

...
Listening to
TOM WAITS is like listening to
NEIL YOUNG or
CAPTAIN BEEFHEART... great, and painful.

I ain't cooking it now- I just bought it today! There was a sale on Turkeys!
November 2019 has kind of sucked a fat one this year. All kinds of school work. Nasty and/or cold weather that is curtailing the amount of outdoor exercising I can do. Plus my classmate passed unexpectedly earlier this week.
this November sucks
the weather as been s**t --- it's like fall completely got skipped and we went straight to winter
November is usually beautiful. One of my favorite months.
