Title: Things that survived the digital age
Post by: claws on November 25, 2019, 11:25:20 AM
Our local library just expanded, which I think is awesome. Some things just don't transfer well into the digital age. Personally, I thought the very idea of ebooks was silly but I also understand people's urge for convenience because those are the times we live in.

We may be losing physical media but it looks like libraries are here to stay

Anything else that survived the digital age?

Vinyl records seem to be making a comeback against the tide of downloadable media.

I collect books. Books will never go out of style for me.
Even the way they smell.

They simply refuse to die, which is pretty cool.

I doubt cash will ever go out of style but I know quite a few people who only pay with cards. They don't even want to touch real money anymore.

Radio. I have an old 1960's AM/FM radio that works! I listen to WZUU out of Kalamazoo. They play lotsa hard rock. Even some old school punk!
