Carroll passed at 85. I watched Sesame Street as a kid over 40 years ago and Oscar, like Cookie Monster, Big Bird and Ernie and Bert, are immortal in my eyes. RIP Mr. Spinney.

CARROLL SPINNEY is better known for BIG BIRD.

yes, but he WAS oscar too. my nieces have many more memories of oscar...
