I think we had a thread like this at some point but I couldn't find it. Anyway, post here if you caught a cold, flu or whatever :teddyr:

I have a runny nose and minor coughing since Friday last week, with a bit of bone aching but thankfully no fever. Nothing major but annoying. I went through several packages of tissues already.
I'm not taking any meds but I had some NyQuil a few days ago. Nose is still running but I stopped sneezing days ago so that's a plus. I slept most of the day today but I'm still feeling tired.
Post and share your colds here please
I get allergy's at certain times of the year. My eyes water like I just took a big hit off a bong. And I sneeze a lot.
But I take those little red allergy pills, I forget what they're called, and I clears it up.
Folks see me wiping my eyes with a hanky or my shirt sleeve and ask me why I'm crying! :bouncegiggle:
I had a cold in November. Mild, but it lasted almost two weeks. Hopefully that will be it for this season.
Had a mild case of altitude sickness when our tour group flew to Cusco. Otherwise nothing too bad so far. At work they're telling potential patient zeros to stay home.
I've had a nagging cough for the last week or so; today I felt bad enough that I pretty much stayed home all day and did nothing.
Entering the second week of my cold. My nose continues to clear up, and I'm less coughing than last week. I still feel tired and my throat is kind of scratchy / slightly sore so I will continue with bed rest. Here's hoping this will be over next week.
Had a slightly runny nose yesterday and a mild cough. Last night I woke up in the middle of the night wanting to throw up and could hardly walk to the bathroom in a straight line, although that was down to tiredness. Feeling fine this morning, but I think Ash has passed his virus onto me.
woke up feeling like death warmed over...congested head with nasal drip, fever, headache, tight bronchs, body aches and hot/cold flashes. can't decide if it's flu or just a bad cold. we'll see what tomorrow brings, i may hit the clinic at walgreens across the street and get checked out to avoid pneumonia..
this sucks alot, it's supposed to be nice weather and i was looking forward to doing some thrifting as well as cleaning my catfuzz filled house...and trying the new taco joint too.
My cold is pretty much over with. It did help that I was on a three week vacation, gave me plenty time to rest up in bed whenever I felt like doing so.
Get well soon chefzombie. Having a cold or flu sucks big time.
thank you claws, and i'm glad you're feeling better. i should know by now that my immune system always goes into the crapper for a week or so after traveling and NOT gone to the grocery store. sick people everywhere there and the place was PACKED with sick kids too...i forgot it was " sampling saturday"...

"a bunch of kids with snot running all the way down to their chins eating off the same plate!" Day! :bouncegiggle:
I have one now ugh.
I got a second head cold that was about like the first. Mild, three kind of bad days of congestion, then just annoying sniffles. No cough, thankfully.
I get flu or colds about once a year.
I hate taking meds unless I have to so my go to thing is hot ginger ale in a mug.
Have a hot shower or bath.
Rub down with ointment - mentholated ointment does the trick.
Dress for bed.
Drink the hot ginger ale and then go to bed.
Wet bed during the night :buggedout:
Much of the cold symptoms will have eased during the night but you sweat heavily.
i'm cautiously optimistic that i'm on the downhill slope towards feeling better, finally. slept through the night without having to get up coughing, and much less body pain today.
Most winters I get one really bad cold. It usually comes around February and hangs around for about a month. I don't think I got one last year, so I'll probably get a really bad one this year to make up for it.
