I talked about mine in tonight's blog post. Feel free to leave your responses here or there . . .
https://lewisliterarylair.blogspot.com/2020/02/setting-goals-reaching-goals-and.html
Mine have traditionally been fairly simple. Be true to myself and be happy. The arrival of Kristi and Ash on the scene have made it more complicated as I have one person to try and keep happy and one person to bring up the best way we can. If that makes him happy then that's a bonus, but I try to remember at least while he is young I am a parent first and foremost, not his friend.
Is it bad that I have few goals, but just drift?
Right now.
Better job.
Improve portfolio
Lose some weight.
learning to live with the fact that i have more family members than i realized that don't actually give a damn about my feelings, and learning to accept getting old better than i do now.
low 11s all motor or even breaking into the 10s someday!

To crush my enemies, to see them driven before me, and to hear the lamentation of their women.
...or lose 20 pounds, whichever is easier. :teddyr:

I still believe there is a historical reason for your fear of horses and you just need to get to the root of it.
To finally finish my script and book.
To stick to my course and formally submit my PVR in just over a month.

Horses have been importantly and intimately involved in human society for as long as culture. They are mythic and symbolic in many cultures. Ever listen to

How about Patti Smith's "Horses?"
https://youtu.be/cSk6jfln84A
Suddenly... Johnny... gets the feeling... he's being surrounded by... horses... horses... horses... horses... coming in in all directions white... shining... silver... studs with their noses... in... flames... he saw horses... horses... horses... horses...
Nothing scary about that.
To live until 2023.
I basically just want to pay off my house, work another 5 or so years after and retire. Got a renter currently so I'm able to take nice chunks out of it with principal payments (and tax returns go towards it too). Getting fairly close to halfway paid off.

As soon as you've paid it off, I'll come visit and you can take me to that place which is close to you and makes the best burgers

I have looked that up. She's a great singer.
Find my husband a new freaking career. Three years ago he owned a business that made fairly good money, employed a sizable crew, and he was happy doing it; a year ago he went off into another venture which he recently sold to his partner (I think one was going to kill the other) and now he is drifting and figuring everything out, constantly around, bored, no clue that to do next, classic mid-life crisis. He's not broke, the sale was for a decent return, but he's mystified about what comes next. It's gotten so old I'm ready to tell him to go have an affair, just to have somewhere else to be.
Finish the remodeling projects on our "new" house that have taken me WAY longer than they should have, and try to be moved in by the time winter hits.
Get my teeth fixed.
Try to find a low stress job that I can hold down.
Get revenge upon myself.
To reincarnated into a better life after I'm done suffer ring for whatever I did in my life prior to this one.
Get that damn book published. (Writing is easy; publishing is hard).
Get a job in either Web Development or UI/UX design. I'm teaching my self, so its going a bit slower, but its at a pace I can handle better. And a lot cheaper than going back to school.

To live until 2023.
Only another week and a half and you can start the clock for the next year. I'm pulling for you!
Coming this next year I want to put a new bed in the spare bedroom-- it's totally empty-- and maybe some little shelves/stands I don't need. For some guest to crash on or something.
Also, the shed floor needs replacing. It's okay for now but it kind of sinks a bit.
And, as always, to get closer to paying off the house. Another year and I'll be halfway paid off.
In 2023 I want to take some people out of my life and consign them to my past, with my best wishes and thanks extended to them all for the roles they each played in shaping my life. Sometimes you can't move on unless you say goodbye.
It's just skateboard tricks
I'd like to end 2023 more financially stable than I began it.
And with less people living in my house.
