Anyone seen this yet? It has a rep for being a hot mess. Apparently it started out as an R-Rated slasher remake but ended as a PG-13 feminist pseudo slasher without slashing. The film was edited for a PG-13 rating and those clumsy cuts are more than obvious, from what I've seen from reviews on youtube. Bad cuts/editing makes a movie look bad by default.
The "toxic male" plot seems to divide people though. If you've seen it, please post your thoughts.

Everything about this movie is a hot mess. From the "all men are rapist" (yes, that was their driving "theme"/"plot") to the painfully obvious expository dialogue, editing, "acting" and "script".
Let me guess, if I skip this one it is because I am not on board with the whole empowerment of women thing rather than it just sounds like something I am not interested in watching? I've seen a few female-driven films (Ghostbusters and the latest Charlies Angels both stand out there. I watched them, and just didn't enjoy them), they just were over the past few years that seem to be trying to employ that tactic for why their films aren't a huge success, rather than the films just sucking.
i'm a woman, this kind of dreck is just that. dreck. i LIKE men, for the most part.
I sort of enjoyed it, but then I wasn't looking for anything special. The constant slogan-based dialogue was grating, yes.
