This lock down insanity has left me rattled and scared: if this is the new normal for now, it's not normal to walk to the shops and look over your shoulder every time a car comes up behind you. It's not normal to be stuck in your house and be afraid to go anywhere for fear that you might get sick. It's not normal to have to sanitize everything and not to be able to give loved ones a hug. It's not normal for the government to curtail your freedoms for which so many people fought and died. It's not normal to feel like you're back in the apartheid era where your every move is being watched by armed people and yes, even though I am Caucasian, I felt very threatened when I came here in 1987. It's not normal not to be able to go to work.
This situation South Africa finds itself in at present is not normal at all, indeed it is the furthest thing from normal. I hope our President lifts or eases the restrictions soon as possible as I really don't know how much more of this I can take. :bluesad: :bluesad:
These are scary times but staying at home prevents the virus from spreading. We just have to sit this one out, nothing more we can do. These restrictions are for your own protection and the protection of others.
I know it's rough out there.
The world as a whole is not normal.

remember what i said, brother T . fear fears YOU, because you can beat it. and this too SHALL pass...
It's not normal anywhere. :bluesad: I'm sorry to hear isolation is affecting you so distressingly Trevor. You can do this. We are all doing this so our loved ones will be there to hug when things get better.
Meanwhile we are all here for you, just like always.
So sorry you're struggling with this! I hope you're finding some comfort here. There is a light at the end of this twisting and turning tunnel. We'll get there. Stay safe and stay strong.
My friend, everything's gonna be alright.
It's cabin fever! Boredom will drive you to the edge of crazy-but it's not lethal.

Think about how much more these things you cannot do will mean to you when you can do them again. So many things people just take for granted, at least for a little while until they forget will be appreciated so much more.

Well said, my friend.
