We have roses on the west side of our house and in front that climb a chicken wire. We have lily's out back growing around a stump. And violets scattered around. Some others- a preety purple one that comes up every year close to the house. We put stones and old red paving bricks from when Lawton had brick paved streets in the late 1800's. My friend Tony had stacks of them in the woods in back of his house.
I like flowers. I don't plant any, because everything I plant seems to die.
Got absolutely one, unfortunately. Because of the rules on the house we are living in, everything has to be returned to the condition it was in when we moved in when it comes time to leave and we have never known how long we'd be in this house for.
here at this place, i have REAL flowers and not just onion and garlic flowers, yay!
daffodils, jonquils, tulips, tiger lilies(TONS!), a camellia bush, violets ,morning glories and hyacinths. i DO miss my miniature grape hyacinths, but i plan to plant some out back. wilder flowers too, but i don't know what they are yet. straw flowers, i think.
This may sound strange but... I don't really know.
I live in a condo and someone else takes care of the landscaping. I think there are some, but either they're not blooming right now or I can't see them from my window. I have considered growing one indoors, though.
Not now. When we bought out house 15 years ago there were shrubs and flowers beside the front stairs. We ripped them out after a few years, but never replaced them.
I don't care enough about flowers to keep them alive with plant food or extra water. I used to get yellow roses but I dug those up a long time ago-- I don't want anything with thorns on it. There is a planter box in front of my house by the street where seeds are either dropped by birds/squirrels or some weirdo walking by decided to put seeds in it, and there's been some decent flowers growing in there. But I'm not watering them.
rev, i could see you growing orchids. you have that kind of patience.
