Just curious. I don't know anyone personally, but I have one friend whose uncle and aunt both died from it (in NYC), and another whose mother contracted it but recovered easily.
Someone I sat next to in a high school English class passed from it.
Not personally. A young woman from our town contracted the virus and she doesn't know how she got it. Her husband and their son both tested negative. She has been documenting her quaran-time on Instagram. Apparently her son went to the same Kindergarden as the son of my niece's best friend. They had a huge covid scare. She called the doctor and he said she and her son should stay home for two weeks, this was before the other kid with the infected mother was tested.

No, though a local friend knows at least two who contracted coronavirus here in this area, both lived, and a friend in Manhattan knows a sadly long list of people there who contracted it, including two who were believed to have died of it, one theretofore healthy and in her fifties, the other in his forties and HIV-positive.
I don't know anyone confirmed. A girl I work with thinks she may have had it and recovered in about 5 days, but was not tested. I think it's a bit odd. I know people that know people that either had it or passed from it, but don't know anyone directly.
If I was going to start spewing misleading statistics, I could say, based on this sample size, 100% of people that watch bad movies have not tested positive for covid. Therefore, watching bad movies must prevent you from catching it, right?
Just over a million Americans have confirmed cases, which is about 1 in 300 people, so it's not surprising no one here has a diagnosis. As you move to friends of friends, it becomes more likely to know someone.

One of the internet radio hosts I've interviewed with several times was diagnosed with COVID a few weeks ago.

Boston has a ton of covid patients, probably because there are a lot of old people here and its also cold in the winter. I've given lots of rides to health professionals, some of whom who work directly with corona virus patients. They have to do a ton of tedious disinfecting stuff when they go in and out. I asked one if the patients were leveling off she said no. They are not obsessive about wearing masks everywhere but none of them take public transportation at all
