Someone recommend some movies for me to watch. During this, my time off, I will pick one, watch it, and tell you what I think.
Return of the Living Dead Part 3.
PREDESTINATION (2014)
For his final assignment, a top temporal agent must pursue the one criminal that has eluded him throughout time. The chase turns into a unique, surprising and mind-bending exploration of love, fate, identity and time travel taboos.
Science fiction that will make you think a lot.
PREDESTINATION is excellent, and Gabriel and I rarely like the same movies.
Since you were talking about David Foster Wallace, you might try THE END OF THE TOUR, where Jason Segel does a great job as Wallace.
Being John Malkovich (1999)
The Mimic (2018)
The Twelve Chairs (1970)
The Escort (2015)
Ocean's Eleven (2001)
Either THE DEATH OF STALIN or JO JO RABBIT.
Midsommar (2019)
Suspiria (2018)
Ready or Not (2019)
A Simple Favor (2018)
Thanks, all of you. I will put these on my list, do my best to watch them, and hopefully tell you what I thought.
Fatal Attraction
I DRINK YOUR BLOOD (1971)
Runaway Train (1985).

Fatal Attraction
Funny enough this was the recommendation I watched first, because there was a vhs copy of it here. Kind of a whacked '80s shock flick, innit?
Thanks, les.

Since you recommended it, I caught a lot of clips from The End of the Tour on YouTube, probably constituting a fifth of the movie, all told. Rather than buy a copy I'm going to check it out from the library. It's been good so far but I do question Lipsky's take on Wallace as such a passive figure. (At least in the clips I've seen.) I think Wallace had a bully side to him, by many accounts, even that of his sister, let alone his wife. (But then again who among us fits one description?) I like the fact the film doesn't set itself up as a memorial to tragedy.
