Title: Labor Day Plans
Post by: ER on September 04, 2020, 08:50:10 PM
Doing anything?

Me, I'm going to alternate sitting on our overlook reading with being with my family, and not doing much of anything else. No big cookouts, no festivals, not going anywhere. Right now that sounds nice.

However you spend the upcoming weekend, wherever you are, I do hope it's a pleasant time for all of you.

i'm off to the river in the morning to see if the latest round of rains produced anything cool, then Sunday I'll go to church with my wife.
Monday will be grading papers, lesson planning, and maybe taking in a movie.'
Pretty tame stuff.

Sleep,  play the new Tony Hawk game,  probably do a cookout. Not sure what I'll do,  but that's what I hope for.

Going down to Des Moines for the week to cat/house sit for my sister and brother in law as they have to go out of town.  Just planning on getting some riding in and hanging around the house for the most part.

I took the week off of work, paid vacation.

I'm about to drive to Wildwood, NJ from where I live outside Philly.

Enjoy the week on the beach, in the sun, at the pool, with a select group of friends and family.

So, that's my Labor Day plans.

I'll be sure to pop in here at some points throughout the week.

I'm going to go to some retail stores and check out some cool Labor Day sales tomorrow and laugh at all the "essential" workers that have to work on a federal holiday.  :teddyr:

Misfortune? They're lucky to even have a job at all. Otherwise they'd probably be out rioting somewhere.

IF I don't wake up too late in the day & end up spending all up it staring into this stupid screen, I might try to rip out one or two more privet/crape myrtle stumps, Maybe see if I can fire up the weed whacker & do some light edging, maybe clear some light brush.....

I also just bought a doo dad that y' fill it full o' dish soap & hook it up to your garden hose, so I might try to wash the van...
A 2013 Ford Transit Connect is short & skinny and easily fits into any parking space, but it's way too tall for the carwash!
