We don't play jazz. Nor do we wax philosphical. Mind you, I did get fired from a station for saying "Penis" on the air. kinda like that episode of Northern Exposure when the DJ got fired for saying Walt Whitman was a fag.
Kinda reminds me of what I used to do during station breaks at WRIR...
When I started out, I wasn't too sure what was & wasn't radio safe, so ironically, I usually wound up playing soundtracks to these Eurotrash soft core erotic horrors that I downloaded from a fansite that's not there anymore....
As bad as these movies were, they always somehow came up with a good soundtrack....
I did board opping for stuff like NPR once a week, & eventually did the '80s show on Saturdays once in a blue moon...
WRIR was always played a very eclectic selection of music.
I will have to break out a few tracks from the PUMAMAN soundtrack....:P

If you guys are into the J-Pop thing, then Babymetal is definitely right up that alley. It is heavy metal music, but the metal is actually pretty good. I'm not a big fan of J-Pop but the metal aspect of it more than makes up for it and they are very catchy tunes. I just have no idea what they are singing because I don't understand the Japanese language.
I am personaly not a big fan of metal ..but I don't hate it. I'll play a babymetal song or two
